What is an American capsule?
An American capsule (also known as a "gummy tip" or "gel X capsule") is a pre-fabricated gel capsule that is placed directly on the natural nail (filed and without cuticles, as with conventional nail tips). The capsule's Length and shape are predefined. It's an increasingly popular technique for obtaining long, strengthened nails very quickly!
Some models are transparent, so you can create the nail art your customers want, while others, like the gummy tips french and babyboomer, are already manicured. It all depends on your desires and needs!
How do I apply an American capsule (X gel)?
To find out how to make an American cap on a short or long nail, here are the steps to follow.
Start by preparing the nails as you would for any classic nail application: file the nail with a buffer or soft file, push back the cuticles, clean with a cleaner and apply nail prep and primer.
Then select the capsule that best matches your customers' expectations (according to desired Length , nail shape, etc.). Apply a small amount of gummy tips gel or rubber base to the inside of the capsule, and place it gently on the nail. Be sure to press out the air to prevent bubbles forming. This is also the time to adjust the gummy tips if necessary.
Catalyze under UV lamp for the time indicated on the box. It's almost done! Just finish with a coat of top coat to seal and protect the French already present on the cap.
