What equipment do I need for eyelash extensions?
The application of eyelash extensions requires a number of specific tools and products to guarantee professional, long-lasting results. As an eyelash prosthetist, here's a (non-exhaustive) list of essential equipment:

Eyelash extensions: the obvious choice! Eyelash to eyelash or Russian volume, silk or synthetic, black or colored, eyelash extensions are available in different lengths and thicknesses to meet the needs and desires of every customer. Why use a hygrometer?
A hygrometer is an essential tool for an eyelash prosthetist, as it measures the relative humidity in the ambient air. Hygrometry is a crucial factor in the success of eyelash extensions! It is used to :

Improve glue adhesion: the ideal humidity level for eyelash extensions is generally between 40% and 60%. Outside this range, the glue may dry too quickly (making installation considerably more difficult) or fail to adhere properly to the natural lashes (resulting in weaker hold). That's why it's vital to constantly check the humidity of the room in which you perform your services: the quality of your work depends on it!

Avoid irritated eyes : too high a humidity level can irritate your customers' eyes, and too high a humidity level can increase glue fumes. So keep your hygrometer handy.
Place a hygrometer in your workspace and check the humidity level before starting each installation. If it's too low, use a humidifier.

How do I apply eyelash extensions properly?
Applying eyelash extensions is a meticulous technique that requires precision and practice, even more so when it comes to mastering the glue!
To ensure that the glue holds properly, it's essential to remove any residual make-up from your client's eyes. Then apply a primer to optimize the glue's adhesion.
Make sure you don't overload the eyelash extension with glue: if there's too much, it'll be harder to dry and the extensions won't last over time. You can manage the quantity directly on your ring.
