How do you train to become an eyelash prosthetist?

Once you've placed your order, you'll be able to view your first training video directly in your customer account.

At the end of your training, you'll be able to perform a lash-by-lash extension application, fill-in and removal, and advise your customers on the thickness, length and curvature of the extensions they should wear, according to their eye shape, lifestyle and desires.
What is Velvet Extension training? It's a correspondence course that teaches you the basics of the eyelash prosthesis profession, with a training certificate that allows you to practice with confidence.
Don't forget that theory is essential, and it's important to know about hygiene measures and the correct gestures to use, as you'll be working on a very sensitive organ: the eye.

Your exam: A minimum of 15 correct answers is required to validate the written test. If we are not satisfied with the poses, we may ask you to take additional photos. Once your training has been validated by our consultant trainer, your certificate will be sent to you by post, enabling you to work as an eyelash prosthetist.

I'm not a beauty professional yet. Can I join the online training program?

Yes, you can. Each of you has a specific project in which to blossom. For some, it's a question of perfecting their technique, while for others it's learning a new trade. Many mothers take a professional turn and choose to retrain thanks to our distance learning courses (e-learning).

How long does the course last?

It all depends on how much time you devote to it. Because the program is online, you can access it whenever you like, 24/7. All you have to do to succeed is complete the exercises at home, applying the methods step by step.

On average, however, our students complete the lash-by-lash training in around 2 months. For the Russian volume, Russian volume master and eyelash enhancement specializations, allow just 3 weeks.

What document will I receive at the end of my training?

At the end of your Velvet training, we issue you with a training certificate which, like a classroom training course, enables you to legally practice your profession as a ciliary prosthetist.

What if I have questions during the course?

If you can't find the answers you're looking for among the distance learning modules, don't panic. Your dedicated trainer will be available to answer you as soon as possible. Our aim is to guide you towards autonomy and success with your eyelash extensions.

How will course elements be sent?

Nothing could be simpler. Once your order has been confirmed, you'll receive an email with your login and access code for the online training platform. All you have to do is access your space and discover your learning modules for training as a ciliary prosthetist. Don't worry, everything is clearly explained in your welcome email.
